Why is Team NEO important for our community?
As the Northeast Ohio Region’s economic development partner, Team NEO accelerates the pace of growth and equity relating to business development outcomes throughout the 18 counties of Northeast Ohio.
Team NEO collaborates with partners at the state and local level to advance the Northeast Ohio Region toward a truly vibrant economy: one that has a talented, diverse workforce; is prosperous, resilient, innovative, and competitive; and has equitable opportunities and outcomes for all. Our strategies include growing our region’s industry base, addressing the talent supply/demand gap, growing a pipeline of competitive sites for businesses, and promoting the Northeast Ohio Region.
We recently created a new brand to enhance business and talent attraction by promoting the Northeast Ohio Region’s most marketable and supportable strengths.
Through our work over the past seven years, Team NEO has helped to create more than 48,600 new jobs, $2.54 billion in annual payroll and $13.12 billion in new capital investment in the region.
What resources do you have to connect educators and/or students with your work?
Team NEO has an Emerging Talent Portal that allows students to explore average salaries, education requirements, and videos from young professionals sharing the pathways they took as they were searching for the right career. The portal highlights the Northeast Ohio Region’s most in-demand careers and the skills and education needed for specific occupations.
