The Cleveland Cavaliers aren’t just known for slam dunks and three-pointers. They’re also deeply committed to giving back to the community through their charitable arm, the Cleveland Cavaliers Foundation.
Founded in 2001, the Cavs Foundation focuses on empowering Northeast Ohio youth through education, health, and youth development programs. Over the years, they’ve impacted countless lives, providing scholarships, promoting healthy lifestyles, and creating safe spaces for kids to learn and grow.
The Cleveland Cavaliers Foundation and its partner organization the Monsters Community Foundation have been supporting Teaching Cleveland’s work to engage area high school students in helping to address challenges in our community. The program, known as the Teaching Cleveland Student Challenge (TCSC), has featured more than 300 area students wrestling with questions such as “How do you foster a culture of innovation in Northeast Ohio?” or “How can we make Northeast Ohio more sustainable?” Check out some of their ideas here.
The Cleveland Cavaliers Foundation is a shining example of how professional sports teams can leverage their platform to make a positive impact. By empowering youth and strengthening the community, they’re partnering with hundreds of organizations like ours to build a brighter future for Cleveland.
