A big thanks to the Deaconess Foundation for being a program partner for this year’s Teaching Cleveland Student Challenge, which is engaging more than 60 students from 12 area high schools to explore how we can create the workforce of the future in Northeast Ohio. Not only are they a supporter of the program, but the Deaconess staff helped connect Teaching Cleveland to the incredible work of local organizations like MAGNET, Greater Cleveland Works, the Greater Cleveland Career Consortium, and Team NEO, to name a few.

It operates to promote health, justice, social justice, and liberation, with a particular focus on racial justice and workforce development in Northeast Ohio. Through a combination of funding, advocacy, organizing efforts, and policy work to build power and transform systems, the Deaconess Foundation is actively working to build a future where a community can freely exist, dream, and thrive, with dignity and respect for all its members.
